About the Artwork

Andrew Reed is following a freewheeling art practice. To generate new imagery for his works, he often reworks old drawings or cuts from random imagery and reconfigures them. Thus opening up fresh meaning through a process of removal and insertion. The reworked surface becomes a metaphor for the bravery and vulnerability that life demands of us. The works are an exciting blend or abstract forms and parts of anthropomorphic elements – camouflaged in each work yet visible to the careful eye.
